Gift Guide · No. 001 · For Dachshund People
Sausage dog apparel, small rituals, and considered goods — curated by the humans of Kaya, Founding Member 001.
— from one dachshund person to another.
A note from the Committee
They reorganize couches. They learn which restaurants have heated patios. They own at least one ramp. The standard pet-store gift — a sequined collar, a novelty mug — doesn't quite match the gravity of the situation.
This guide is what we send friends when they ask what to get the dachshund person in their life. Every item below is something the Society makes, uses, or stamps by hand. None of it says "weiner dog" in a clip-art font.
Kaya — blue/gray dappled miniature dachshund, Founding Member 001 — approved every piece. She has strong opinions and most things do not pass.

On giving a dachshund person a gift
Dachshund people already have everything for the dachshund. The harness, the jacket, the orthopedic bed, the steps for the couch, the second set of steps for the other couch. What they don't have is something that says I know what this animal has done to your life.
That's the brief we keep returning to. A great dachshund-lover gift is for the person — the receiving end of the relationship. The lap, not the loaf.
Frequently asked
Something for them, not for the dog. A heavyweight tee with a hand-drawn dachshund, or a thoughtful card, tends to land harder than another dog toy.
Yes. The Founding Shirt runs XS–2XL, cut relaxed and boxy in 7.2 oz ring-spun cotton. Sleeves are easy to push up while holding a dog.
